We are a church born in the cradle of Methodism in the Beaverhead Valley. The Bannack Church located in the town of Bannack (Bannack State Park today) was built and dedicated in1877. William Wesley Van Orsdell (Brother Van) legendry Methodist circuit rider preacher was responsible for its creation and was instrumental in establishing over 100 Methodist churches in Montana.
Grace United Methodist Church traces its heritage from this church. The Dillon church was established in 1880, and the first church building was completed and dedicated in 1881 and served the Dillon community until 1964 when the current church building was built.
At Grace UMC Dillon, we are dedicated to spreading the love and teachings of Jesus Christ to our community and beyond.
